Hi everybody and welcome to my new blog. For those of you that don’t know me here is a quick introduction.

I’m Ben Ross, I live in Peterborough and have been snowboarding for about nine years now (most of them at Pats). My sponsors are Step Child Snowboards, Dragon Goggles, Eastern Boarder, Elm Company and of course Pats Peak has backed me up from the beginning. Over the last couple seasons I have gotten my AASI Level 2 and Freestyle Master Teacher certifications. I am blessed enough to get to do what I love as a job, snowboard. It has given me the opportunity to meet great people, travel, and have the most fun ever!

Last season I ran all over New England filming and competing in all kinds of contests like Eastern Boarders “Last Call”, the Main Event series, and USASA. This spring I had the opportunity to represent the New Hampshire series at USASA nationals in Colorado and compete with 80 of the best riders in the country (I got 17th in slope style). Also while out there I won the High Cascade/Oakley “Boom Box and Tail Blocks” jam, which was one of the most fun comps of the year.

Over the summer to help cope with the “snowboardom” I spent a week at High Cascade Snowboard Camp on Mount Hood in Oregon shredding with the likes of Jeremy Jones, Jesse Burtner, Scott Stevens and many other awesome snowboarders. This was a great time, helped keep old tricks fresh and pushed me to learn some new ones too.

I’m also stoked to be coaching the new Pats Peak Snowboard Team too. Yeah, you heard right we have a team for this year.
