ALPINE RACER JULIA FORD TO ATTEND YOUTHFEST 2010 AT PATS PEAK
Youths from the Boston area and other affiliate NBS clubs come to Pats Peak for a weekend of race training.

Henniker, NH, March 4, 2010 –Pats Peak, New Hampshire's premier snowsports destination, is excited to announce that Julia Ford from the US Ski Team (USST) will be attending YouthFest 2010, March 5-7 at Pats Peak Ski Area.

Julia Ford, 19, from Plymouth, NH is a graduate of the Holderness School Ski Team. She won the NorAm Cup super combined title in '09, earning her a World Cup starting spot in the discipline for the 2010 season. The points helped propel her to finish second in the overall NorAm standings last season. This season, she's been on the NorAm podium five times. She's also had NorAm wins and National Junior Championship wins. Right now she leads the super combined standings and is second overall (NorAm) - she's 3rd in DH and 2nd in SG. Julia is one of the USST’s top young prospects.

YouthFest 2010 is a Boston Ski Party and Youth Enrichment Services sponsored effort to support the training of next generation Olympic champions. The event brings together more than 40 Boston area youth along with 20 youth from other East Coast affiliated National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) clubs, ages 6-18, for three days of competitive race training and skills building, conducted by experienced Pats Peak coaches. As a special treat, Julia Ford, a USST athlete, will provide coaching advice and spend time with the participants on Saturday. Youths will be traveling from DC, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania to participate in this exciting weekend.
