Media Contact: Sylvia Pelletier, President Henniker, NH, March 18, 2009 – Childhood Cancer Lifeline Weekend at Pats Peak, held February 28 & March 1, raised just under $20,000, insuring much needed support for NH families who have a child battling cancer. Given the current economy, the Childhood Cancer Lifeline of NH is deeply touched by the outpouring of generosity from the community and area businesses, who continue to show their support for this all volunteer organization. These funds will help meet the ever increasing needs of families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis. The Childhood Cancer Lifeline extends their heartfelt
thanks to Pats Peak and all of its employees, for their continued
creative and enthusiastic support. Pulling off an event of this magnitude
without their support would be impossible. In addition to the friends at Pats Peak, the Childhood Cancer Lifeline thanks John Mann, of Roxanne and the Voodoo Rockers, for coordinating the all-star band line up on Sunday. John, and his lovely bride Roxanne, have been supporters for years. It is no small feat to assemble that much talent, and to lug equipment up to the 3rd floor of the lodge, every year! THANK YOU! The Childhood Cancer Lifeline has a great group of board members, and volunteers who work very hard to organize this event. Thank you to Amy Patenaude, Rita Blanchard, Pat Bryer, Eren Martin, our Tri-Deltas Karen Kana & Kim Johnson, and Steph Osborne, for their continued assistance requesting donations, and to the Bryer, Falconer, Johnson, Kalika, Konrad, Lucci , Pelletier and Riley families for helping to run the auction event. This year’s event was one of the best attended, and most fun, to date. Where else can you have a prime rib dinner for $30 as a couple, hear amazing bands, bid on great items, and know you are helping families in need? The desire of all of those in attendance to reach out and make a difference in the lives of others was apparent. Thank you all!
