PATS PEAK COLLECTS $2,500 IN DONATIONS
FROM SKIERS/RIDERS FOR
AMERICAN RED CROSS RELIEF EFFORTS IN HAITI

Henniker, NH, January 22, 2010 – "Ski for Haiti". During the Martin Luther King Weekend, Pats Peak collected donations from skiers and riders to support disaster relief in Haiti through the American Red Cross Relief Efforts. The American Red Cross is currently addressing Haiti's most imperative needs by supplying food, water, temporary shelter, medical help & emotional support. Donations to the cause were accepted at all ticket and cashier locations throughout the weekend. Pats Peak skiers/riders were very generous with their donations during this difficult time donating a total of $2,500.

Kris Blomback, General Manager of Pats Peak said, “We felt we had a unique opportunity this holiday weekend to help those in Haiti. We had many skiers/riders who wanted to help the relief efforts and this gave them a way to do that.”

For those wishing to make additional donations in support of the Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti they can go online to www.redcross.org or call 1-800-HELP-NOW. Mobile donors can text “Haiti” to 90999 to make a $10 contribution.

About the American Red Cross:
The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies nearly half of the nation's blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization — not a government agency — and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.
