History: This season, Pats Peak enters its 46th consecutive ski and snowboard season under the Patenaude family ownership, which makes it the longest continuously operating ski area run by the same owner. Pat Peak was the first mountain in New Hampshire to have snowmaking (1960’s) and was instrumental in getting other ski areas operational. Every year Pats Peak continually focuses to improve its facility and experience for their skiers and snowboarders. Night Skiing on all 22 trails beginning December 26th Night Skiing Lift Hours: Terrain Park: Turbulence Terrain Park, located in the Valley area. Features include tabletops, rails, boxes, wall ride and more. Features change each week based on weather, snow conditions and feedback from riders. Whisper Mini Park, located on the Whisper trail. Features include smaller boxes, rails, rollers & jumps. Snowtubing: Tubing Park is located in the base area. The Tubing Park is 600 feet long by 85 feet tall. Ski boots are not allowed. Must be 44" tall and at least 5 years old to snowtube. Snowtubing tickets are limited in order to insure a pleasurable tubing experience for you! Advanced Reservations Recommended. Ski/Snowboard School: The Pats Peak Ski and Snowboard School bases its instruction on the American Teaching System, a method used by the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI). This method is proven program for developing and refining skills. Experienced and certified staff provides instruction for skiers and riders of all ages and abilities. Starter Special – Learn to Ski & Snowboard Program: For the first time skier or snowboarder ages 6 and up. Includes beginner group lesson, rental equipment, and full day lift ticket to Valley area. This is the package that enters you in the Pats Peak and Waterville Valley Passport Program. (Passport Program: Award Winning, All Inclusive, designed for Beginners. You'll receive a Passport from your instructor during the first lesson. This is a four day program where you purchase the Starter Special Package on three separate days and then on the fourth day purchase an all day/all mountain lift ticket to get your season pass good for the rest of the season at both Pats Peak and Waterville Valley!) We’re so confident we can teach you how to ski or ride – we guarantee it. No reservations are necessary for the Starter Special. The Starter Special is available every half hour starting at 9:00 am until 2:30 pm on weekends and holidays (available 10:00 am; 11:30 am; 1:30 pm midweek and during MA and NH Vacation Weeks). Value Packages: Packages including Lift, Rental & Lesson, or Lift & Lesson, or Lift & Rental are available. Lesson Books are available for a savings of approximately 10-20%. These books are non-refundable, transferable and may be used for multiple transactions throughout the day. They are good throughout the Ski Season and may be purchased at the Ski School Desk. Private Lessons: For one hour and require an appointment. Private Lessons are available for all ages and all abilities for skiing, snowboarding and telemark skiing. Group Lessons: For ages 6 & up. Daily at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. (Please note that 1:30 p.m. lessons may be limited on some weekdays.) Group Lessons are 1 to 1-1/2 hours in duration. Kids’ Programs: Seasonal Programs are available for children starting at age 3 up to age 14 and meet on weekends, holidays and vacation periods from 9:30am to 3:30pm with an hour break for lunch. Cub’s Club Child Care is for children ages 4 months to 6 years old. Adult Ski/Snowboard Clinics: Adult Ski/Snowboard Clinics are a cost effective way to learn with lots of attention on individual development. The program is offered one day a week for seven weeks for beginner to advanced skiers/riders. Start time is 10:00 am. After a morning on the slopes, members of the group relax with their instructor and enjoy a healthy lunch buffet. WOW (Women’s Only Wednesday) Program: On Wednesday mornings women start the day off at 9:00 am by enjoying a continental breakfast and an exciting morning discussion, designed specifically for women. After discussions, participants head out onto the slopes for on-hill clinics taught by women only. The day ends with a delicious lunch with instructors, allowing students and instructors to discuss their morning on the slopes. Weekday Learn to Ski and Snowboard Program: More than 8,000 kids from over 100 local schools participate in the Pats Peak’s Weekday Learn to Ski and Snowboard Program, offering lessons for all abilities and rental packages. The program is for prescheduled school groups for five weeks. Students must sign up through their school coordinator in order to participate in the program. Lesson time 1:30 pm. Program includes one hour of instruction and a full day/all lift ticket. Classes will be kept to a maximum of 12 students. Children are ages 6-17. Adult Racing Program: The race league begins the first week of January and concludes at the end of NH School Vacation Week. Races are held weekly, weather permitting. The entry fee guarantees 7 races, which count towards the finals. Any make-ups (to reach 7 races) will be held on Thursday and Friday nights in March. Teams are comprised of five to seven skiers or riders at least 21 years of age. Prizes are awarded to individual men, women, and teams, both weekly and cumulatively. Recreational Racing: NASTAR (National Standard Race) is a great way to enjoy the challenge and thrill of recreational racing. NASTAR is located on the Downdraft trail for all ages and abilities.
