Pats Peak Hiring Fair

Pats Peak has many full-time and part-time seasonal job opportunities each winter. Please bring (2) TWO forms of identification with you to the Hiring Fair.

All applicants are encouraged to attend our Hiring Fair regardless of whether or not you have already submitted an application. Returning employees are also encouraged to attend the Hiring Fair unless otherwise notified by your manager. People who interview at the Hiring Fair are more likely to get selected for a position than people who do not. Department Heads will contact you for interview appointments for positions that were not filled during the Hiring Fair.

WINTER SEASON POSITIONS:

GROOMER

We are looking for strongly detailed individuals to join our grooming team. Person must be flexible, able to work nights and weekends and very detail oriented. Past grooming experience is preferred with mechanical experience and heavy equipment operation is a plus. Terrain park grooming experience a plus.  Applications may be filled out in person in the Guest Services office or use our Online Job Application.

FUN SQUAD MANAGER

Position requires management experience guiding, coaching, training and scheduling a staff of 40 employees. Departmental responsibilities include: Hospitality Greeters, Mascots, Children's Fun Activities, Lift Line Supervision and Coordination, Ticket Checking, Snowshoe Trail Maintenance and Assisting the Special Events Director. Position is full-time seasonal (mid- late October to end of March). KITCHEN: BREAKFAST, PREP & LINE COOKS

LIFT ATTENDANT

Operates chair lifts and maintains terminal areas. Performs crowd control. Checks lift tickets and lift passes.  This is an outside job working in a variety of winter weather elements. The Lift Attendant oversees the daily operation of a chair lift in a safe and efficient manner while promoting positive guest relations with riders and co-workers. Must be 16+.

PARKING ATTENDANT

Assists guest arriving and leaving from Pats Peak. Performs traffic control. Assists in ensuring steady traffic flow.  Previous Guest Service experience desired. This is an outside job working in a variety of winter weather elements. The Parking Attendant helps with the steady flow of traffic in a safe and efficient manner while promoting positive guest relations with guests and co-workers. RACE CREW

We are looking to hire full and part time race crew staff. Schedule is Monday through Friday afternoons and evenings. (Some weekend races through the season.) Some NASTAR or race background is helpful. Starting pay for full time staff is $10.00 an hour. Based on experience. Must be at an intermediate or higher level skier or rider. RACE - NASTAR

Saturday, Sunday and Holidays we are looking to staff 2 – 4 people to set up, race course and timing. No experience necessary. Must be at an intermediate or higher level skier or rider. To apply, please contact Snowsports Director John Pawlak, john.p@patspeak.com.

CHILDREN’S SKI AND SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTOR

We have a very busy weekend and holiday schedule for teaching children ages 3 to 13 years old. Through both private hourly lessons and groups of 3-6, we are busy from 8:00am-3:00pm. On Saturdays we are open through 8:00pm and have many request lessons through 6:00 pm. The schedule options are twofold. First is from 8:00am – 4:00pm. The second is 10:00am-6:00pm. We have season long classes as well. Cubs and Bears run from 9:30am -3:30/4:00pm.
Duties include:

  • Ability to ski or ride at a novice to intermediate level.

  • Able to lift 40 pounds.

  • Being able to be outdoors for long periods of time.

  • Safety is a primary concern. We have training modules at the beginning of the season that are mandatory. Daily training is also available early morning and mid-day.

  • Willingness to share departments at ski area, if needed.

SKI AND SNOWBOARD SUPERVISORS

Full positions available, Monday–Friday. Coordinate Snowsports Lesson Time line-ups for instructors. A large portion of our lessons are to local school aged children participating in a five week program, along with group and private lessons offered to the general public. Competitive wages with weekly salaried pay. Bonus for all "requested" lessons! We offer free skiing/snowboarding, rentals and lessons; meal discounts and discounts in our Retail Shop. All Instructor applicants are encouraged to attend all meetings below:

  • Instructor Fall Meeting: Sunday, November 3rd at 10:00am sharp: There will be a brief meeting in the backside of the Rental Shop to go over what is expected of you as well as an update on meeting and training dates.

  • Jump Start to Teaching: Wednesday, November 6th and November 13th, 6:30-8:30pm: Indoor training for being a Ski or Snowboard Instructor.

  • Hiring Clinic: Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th: The plan is to be on snow both days so come prepared. If you want a job, you must come both days. This is your interview - skills and personality a PLUS!

SNOWMAKING

Snowmaking operations typically begin in early November. Snowmaking shifts are typically 12 hours and are scheduled on an ongoing basis based on weather conditions. Overnight shifts are required, and switching between night shifts and day shifts is common. This is an outdoor position with extreme weather conditions. Weekends and holidays are a must. SLED PUB BARBACKS

The Sled Pub at Pats Peak is looking for experienced barbacks during the winter season. The barback is responsible for, but not limited to, assisting the bartenders, food running, as well as helping with opening and closing procedures. Flexible weeknight and consistent weekend availability is a must. This is a part time position. Eligible for Skiing and Riding privileges. For more information contact: noelle@patspeak.com.

SLED PUB BARTENDERS

The Sled Pub at Pats Peak is looking for experienced bartenders during the winter season. Must have extensive bartending experience in high volume environment. Must be Team, Tip or Bar Code certified. A friendly, positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills are required. Flexible day, night and weekend availability is a must. TUBING PARK SUPERVISOR

The Tubing Park Supervisor must be 18 or older and is in charge of scheduling for tubing park staff and ensures that all employees adhere to all company rules. Ensures that Tubing Attendants maintain the loading and unloading areas, performs crowd control, checks tubing tickets and season passes. This is an outside job working in a variety of winter weather elements. The Tubing Supervisor ensures that the daily operation of the Tubing Park is done in a safe and efficient manner while promoting positive guest relations with riders and co-workers.
